El Hotel SO/ SOTOGRANDE toma forma
El profundo proceso de renovación, rehabilitación y ampliación de instalaciones en el complejo avanza de manera imponente con la creación de nuevos espacios y un ritmo de construcción vertiginoso con el objetivo de reabrir sus puertas este verano.
La obra reúne, prácticamente a diario, a más de 300 operarios y promueve la contratación de servicios en más de 30 empresas del entorno.
El hotel contará con una plantilla superior a los 100 trabajadores y doblará empleados durante la temporada lo que supone un auténtico generador de empleo para la zona.
El cambio total en la morfología del hotel, nuevas vistas, nuevas habitaciones, suites, spa, paisajismo y la remodelación del campo de golf pone en circulación un presupuesto cercano a los 40 millones de euros.
Accor plantea para el nuevo So/ Sotogrande una fusión única entre el lujo y la exclusividad con un concepto aperturista hacia la comunidad local a través de la gastronomía y servicios.
Un cambio espectacular, una remodelación al detalle y un proyecto exclusivo y único para Sotogrande. Objetivo cumplido para Sotogrande S.A al ver el salto cualitativo para la urbanización que presenta la apertura y rehabilitación integral del nuevo SO/ Sotogrande marcará un antes y un después en el sector hotelero local, en su segmento de gran lujo. La impresionante obra, que avanza a un ritmo vertiginoso, crea un espacio exclusivo en el complejo residencial sin precedentes. Las imágenes que ilustran este reportaje muestran el avance real del proceso de construcción y el posterior resultado, una vez que se concluya todo el plan de construcción. Destacar que su apertura está prevista para este mismo verano, todo un reto y un lujo ver crecer este proyecto en el corazón de Sotogrande.
El hotel contará con un total de 152 habitaciones, entre las que destacan, por su nueva construcción, las suites en la zona sur del complejo;. Por supuesto, las dos VIP Suites en el ático del edificio principal (el módulo primitivo de la recepción), son todo un regalo para los sentidos y una experiencia ‘premium’ en Sotogrande con estancia de hasta 140 m2 y una de las terrazas más privilegiadas de toda la urbanización.
The hotel will have a total of 152 rooms, notably including, due to them being newly built, the suites in the southern zone of the complex. Of course, the two VIP Suites in the penthouse of the main building (the original reception module) are a real gift for the senses and a premium experience in Sotogrande with spaces of up to 140 m2 and one of the most outstanding terraces in the entire resort.
In a total change of perspective and almost coinciding, in its location, with the green of hole 9 at Los Pinos (the golf course will also have some modifications), is the new Spa. An incredible space covering more than 2,500 m2, newly built and with a spectacular, open design that is fully integrated into the landscape. It should be emphasised that this new concept goes hand in hand with a very visual design, with no impact on the environment and completely open to incredible views, alongside top level landscaping.
The interior remodelling of all the rooms (new and renovated), the construction of new children´s areas; the renovation of the pool and the creation of new water spaces with three heights and views stretching to the golf course are some of the big new additions. In this regard, it is also worth mentioning the renewal of the gastronomic concept of the complex; a redesign of Veintiocho, a new bar at the pool, the new Restaurante El Cortijo and the catering area at the Club House (newly built alongside the revamped Tee of hole 1), offer a new aesthetic and an impressive project that will completely come to light in just a few months.
It is very striking upon entering the enclosure that there is incessant activity inside and a high pace of work across all areas: foundations, infrastructures, interior design, landscaping, etc. Practically on a daily basis there is a total of operators working at the same time on the project, a highly important figure, alongside the fact that services have been contracted from more than 30 companies in the area. Undoubtedly, this is a very obvious sign of the profound influence of this project and its impact on the local economy.
In this regard, it is worth highlighting that the new team of SO/ Sotogrande, led by its director Robert Kmita and Sotogrande S.A, are already working to create the new workforce for the hotel (which will integrate all the workers from Almenara). The work team at the hotel will be around 100 permanent employees, a high figure in order to offer high quality services to clients. The figure will double to 200 employees, or more, during the term of the peak season. Undoubtedly, a great creator of employment in the area.
A large scale project developed by Sotogrande S.A., capable of entailing an investment of almost 40 million Euros, and one that will be a qualitative leap like we have rarely seen before in the area. Also, it emerges with the aim of becoming the major meeting place for the Sotogrande community.
