“Los Juanchys ”, reconocidos como mejores fotógrafos del año
Los artistas son colaboradores habituales en la moda de La Revista Sotogrande.
Grabry Cano y Juanchy González son dos fotógrafos de renombre, más concretamente el de “Los Juanchys”. Empezaron a trabajar juntos bajo ese nombre en 2019 y durante estos cuatro años no han parado de crecer. Además, llevan colaborando más de un año en la revista de Sotogrande
Recientemente han sido galardonados en los FEPFI como mejor fotógrafo del año en la categoría comercial de la Federación Española de Profesionales de la Imagen y el Sonido. Para ellos, es muy especial porque lo han conquistado con una fotografía de moda, un ámbito donde la competencia es elevada. No era la primera vez que participaban el año pasado también estuvieron nominados a este premio. Como destaca Gabry: “Esto no nos ha venido de la nada, siempre hemos invertido en formación y seguimos invirtiendo”
La fotografía con la que ganaron el premio pertenece a una editorial toda en blanco y negro, con textura de papel analógico, muy vintage, que evoca a mar, a sal, a la vida marina. En ella el modelo presenta un semblante serio, con un estilismo muy antiguo, otorgando a la imagen mucha personalidad.
Durante estos cuatro años han crecido muy rápido recibiendo distintos reconocimientos de relevancia nacional, como las nominaciones de los Premios Goya Araron o dos premios en los Luces de Granada
La pareja de fotógrafos siempre está reinventándose y buscando nuevas formas de crecer para aportar a su sector participando en talleres y cursos: “Desde el año pasado decidimos abrir formación”. Ya tienen varios previstos durante todo el año y se espera buena acogida.
El sector en el que destacan es el de la fotografía de maternidad: “Para nosotros la maternidad es una etapa super bonita”. Cuando hacen este tipo de sesiones consiguen extraer una belleza especial que es única en ese tipo de retratos. También hacen fotografías para recién nacidos, bebes y hasta niños de comunión.
Grabry Cano and Juanchy González are two renowned photographers, and more specifically, are referred together as “Los Juanchys”. They began working together under that name in 2019 and over these four years they have continued to grow. Also, they have been collaborating for more than a year with Sotogrande Magazine.
Recently, the won best photographer of the year at the FEPFI awards in the commercial category of the Spanish Federation of Image and Sound Professionals. For them, this is very special, because they won it with a fashion photographer, a field with a high level of competition. It wasn’t the first time they had participated, last year they were also nominated for this award. As Gabry highlights: “This has not come out of the blue, we have always invested in training and we continue to invest”
The photograph that they won the prize with belongs to an editorial completely in black and white, with the texture of analogue paper, very vintage, that evokes the sea, salt, marine life. In it, the model has a serious face, with very old styling, giving the image a lot of character.
Over these four years they have grown very quickly, receiving different awards of international importance, such as nominations for the Goya Aragon Awards and two prizes at the Luces de Granada awards.
The pair of photographers are always reinventing themselves and looking for new ways of contributing to their sector by participating in workshops and courses: “Last year we decided to start training”. They have several sessions planned during the entire year and hope for a good reception.
They sector they stand out in is motherhood photography: “For us, motherhood is a very beautiful time”. When they do these types of sessions they manage to bring out a special beauty which is unique in these kinds of portraits. They also take photographs for new-borns, babies and even children doing communion.
