Un año más y de forma diferente, hemos celebrado MUN San José 2021, un modelo de simulación del funcionamiento de las instituciones de las Naciones Unidas que promueve el interés de los alumnos en las relaciones internacionales y en el debate de temas de relevancia mundial. Al mismo tiempo, mejora sus habilidades de diálogo, diplomacia, dialéctica, trabajo en grupo, oratoria, resolución de conflictos, construcción de consenso, cooperación y liderazgo.

Todos los alumnos de 3º de Secundaria tanto de Estepona como de Guadalmina, representaron al país que les había sido previamente asignado como delegados, debatieron sobre el papel de la ONU ante temas de actualidad internacional y presentaron las resoluciones finales fruto de los acuerdos alcanzados en los diferentes comités.

S´MUN2030 Singularity Model United Nations

Anteriormente y al igual que otros años, alumnos procedentes de colegios de todo el mundo participaron en la primera edición virtual de S’MUN2030. Los alumnos de 3º de Secundaria del Colegio San José, actuando como representantes de los países miembros de Naciones Unidas, buscaron soluciones sobre los temas asignados.

Los diversos debates giraron en torno a la sostenibilidad, la educación, las nuevas formas de economía y los recursos energéticos en el marco de la Inteligencia Artificial, un concepto que se ha asociado con frecuencia a resultados negativos y para el que se plantearon usos que puede aportar beneficios al progreso de la humanidad.

Nuestra alumna Helena Duque, representante de Francia, recibió una “Honourable Mention” por su intervención en la UNESCO en el debate sobre “Deregulation of educational standards according to ArtificiaI Intelligence”.

MUN SAN JOSÉ 2021

Once again this year and in a different way, we celebrated MUN San José 2021, a simulation of the operations of the institutions of the United Nations which promotes the interest of pupils in international relations and in the debate on subjects of global importance. At the same time, it improves their skills with dialogue, diplomacy, dialectics, group work, oratory, conflict resolution, creating a consensus, cooperation and leadership.

All the 3rd year secondary pupils, in both Estepona and Guadalmina, represented the country they had previously been assigned as delegates, the debated on the role of the UN in current international affairs and presented final resolutions, the result of the agreements reached by the different committees.

S´MUN2030 Singularity Model United Nations

Beforehand, and just as in previous years, pupils from schools all over the world took part in the first virtual edition of S´MUN2030. The 3rd year Secondary pupils from Colegio San José, acting as representatives of the United Nations member countries, sought solutions for the issues assigned.

The different debates revolved around sustainability, education, new forms of economics and energy resources within the framework of Artificial Intelligence, a concept that has often been associated with negative results and for which uses were considered that could provide benefits for the progress of humanity.
